Why not go to a buyer directly?

You can. But buyers do these deals every day and most owners do one, and they negotiate accordingly. We take your package to multiple buyers at once to find a real market price, and we handle the contract work.

What exactly are AI companies buying?

Data from real businesses: bookings, invoices, bookkeeping, customer emails, support tickets, and the decisions behind them. Big AI labs buy it in large, standardized collections. Data buyers sit in the middle, aggregate many businesses, clean and de-identify the data, build training environments from it, and license the finished collections to the labs.

Does Sanctus Data Labs buy my data or act as my agent?

Either, depending on how buyers respond. In Route 1 you sell directly: you sign with the buyer, the buyer pays you, and we act as your agent for a fee agreed in writing up front. In Route 2 we buy from you at a fixed price and sublicense, carrying the buyer contract and the risk ourselves. We choose the route together. Compare the two routes.

How do you get paid?

Every engagement starts with an engagement letter, signed before any work begins. It covers the dataset preparation work and how we share in the outcome, so we are paid to do the work properly and rewarded for getting you the best deal. In Route 2, where we buy and sublicense, we also earn the difference between what we pay you and what the buyer pays us.

When does the money arrive?

Route 1: the buyer pays you, usually 15 to 60 days after they accept delivery. Route 2: we pay you on the schedule in our agreement, and you know the number up front.

Who does the anonymization?

The data buyers do, as part of cleaning and standardizing collections for the labs. Our job before that is to scope the package with you and leave out anything you tell us is out of scope.

What do you need from me?

A 30-minute intro call, a signed engagement letter, and one round of logins or admin invites to the systems you run. We do the export, counting and organizing ourselves and give you a one-page inventory and a map of how your systems connect.

Does my data leave my systems?

Not until there is a deal you've agreed to. We export and stage the data on your own internal architecture and do the inventory there. Buyers price it from the inventory, not the data. Delivery happens only after you've approved price, exclusivity window, scope and payment timing and the contract is signed.

Is anything shared before I agree?

No. We sign an NDA and an engagement letter before you grant access, and nothing is signed with a buyer until you've approved every term.

What do I keep, and what do I give up?

You keep ownership of your business and all its records, every system running as it does today, and everything generated after delivery unless you choose an ongoing deal. You typically give up the right to sell that batch to other AI buyers for an agreed exclusivity window.

What happens to your access afterwards?

It is shut off once delivery and payment are complete.
