How it works
We embed with your team and work with discretion at every step.
We work alongside your IT, security, legal and finance leads as an extension of your team, inside your systems and under your rules. You see everything we do as we do it. Your data is staged within your 4 walls and doesn't leave until there is a deal you've approved.

1
Intro call
Thirty minutes on the phone. We ask what systems your business runs on: email, booking, invoicing, accounting, banking, CRM, support. That is enough to tell you whether there is a package worth building.
Your part30 minutes
You getA straight answer on whether to proceed
-
2
NDA, engagement letter and access
We sign an NDA covering everything we see, and we both sign an engagement letter that sets out the scope of the preparation work, the timeline, and how we are aligned on the outcome. Then you give us full access to your systems: logins or admin invites to email, booking, accounting, banking, and so on. We work inside your accounts and your infrastructure; nothing leaves your fortress.
Your partOne round of logins
You getA signed NDA and engagement letter before anything is seen
-
3
Inventory and package
We export and stage the data on your own internal architecture, not ours. We count and organize it there, leave out anything you tell us is out of scope, and write up what the record contains and what it shows about how the business runs. The package stays inside your environment until there is a deal you've agreed to.
Your partNone
You getA one-page inventory and a map of how your systems connect. Data stays on your systems.
-
4
Shop it
We take the package to multiple buyers at once, so the price is set by the market rather than by the first offer. Buyers do this every day; a single owner negotiating alone gets the first-offer price. Buyers see the inventory and what they need to price it, not the data itself; that stays staged inside your environment.
Your partNone
You getReal offers from more than one buyer
-
5
Route and terms
Based on how buyers respond, we pick the route together: you sell directly with us as your agent, or we buy from you at a fixed price and sublicense. Then we settle price, exclusivity window, scope, and payment timing.
Your partDecide. Nothing is signed until you approve it.
You getTerms in writing, in plain language
-
6
Contracts, delivery, payment
We handle the contract work. Only now, with a signed deal you've approved, does the data leave your environment, delivered securely to the buyer. You get paid on the agreed schedule. Then our access to your systems is shut off.
Your partSign and get paid
You getPayment, and our access revoked
Step 5, in detail
The two routes.
Buyers want this data badly, and they negotiate hard. They do these deals every day; most owners do one. That's why you want us on your side of the table. The routes differ in who you sign with, who pays you, and who carries the risk.
Route 1
You sell directly
You're the seller. We're your agent.
You sign with the buyer and the buyer pays you. We build the data package, find buyers, negotiate, and handle the contracts. Our terms are set out in the engagement letter before we start.
Route 2
We buy from you, then sublicense
You sell to us at a fixed price. We sublicense and take the risk.
Some buyers would rather deal with one aggregator than many small businesses. You sign one agreement with us at a price we set up front. We sign with the buyer, carry that contract, and keep the difference.
| Side by side | Route 1: You sell directly | Route 2: We buy and sublicense |
|---|---|---|
| Who you sign with | The buyer. We handle the contract work. | Us. One simple agreement. |
| Who pays you | The buyer, usually 15 to 60 days after they accept delivery. | Us, on the schedule in our agreement. |
| How we get paid | As set out in our engagement letter, signed before work begins. | The difference between what we pay you and what the buyer pays us. |
| Price certainty | Set by the final negotiated deal. | Fixed. You know your number up front. |
| Promises to the buyer | Standard terms, mainly that you had the right to share the data. We negotiate them. | We make them. You make the same standard promises to us. |
| What you see | Everything. It's your contract. | Our deal in full, and the buyer's price if you ask. |
| Upside | All of the sale price, minus our fee. | Capped at our agreed price. We keep anything above it. |
| Best when | The buyer is happy to contract with you directly. | The buyer would rather buy through us. |
We choose the route together, once we see how buyers respond.
Context
What buyers do for the labs.
Big AI labs buy data in large, standardized collections rather than one business at a time. Buyers sit in the middle and do five jobs.
1. Aggregate
Combine many businesses into collections big and varied enough to be useful.
2. Clean and de-identify
Standardize formats and remove or mask customers' personal information.
3. Build training environments
Turn real operations into practice tasks with known answers, like "reconcile this month," so AI can practice real work and be graded against what actually happened.
4. Handle the legal side
Contracts, rights, and privacy compliance with the labs.
5. License to the labs
Sell access to the finished collections and environments.
You keep
- Ownership of your business and all its records.
- Every system, running as it does today.
- Everything generated after delivery, unless you choose an ongoing deal.
You typically give up
- The right to sell that batch to other AI buyers for an agreed exclusivity window.
- A 30-minute call and one round of logins.
